A Sunny Sunday Evening ~ 23rd August

It's a cloudy Sunday morning on 23rd August. I was on my one day off; an off day replacement. Though it's a cloudy day, I manage to do my laundry! It's great to met my old friend, Mark whom just arrived from Huston, United State with full of stories & new experiences. I wonder when will be my turn..I did save Edna & Deylin's day ~ she left her car keys inside her car when attending the Sunday Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral

It's a sunny & beautiful Sunday evening, so I decided to go for a shooting at the Esplanade again, with my trusty DSLR Sony A Series, the A300 ~ luckily not with AK-47!

Some of the photos I took during the day. I really enjoy to see the kids enjoying themselves with the sand castle and running around...I wish I have these chances before... :)
I wonder that the birds are discussing of.... :)

Sorry, I forgot the adjust the ISO value accordingly. ( That answer why the photo is quite dark)
...Senja Nan Merah..Che Wah....
And the end of the evening, I was invited by Edna & Deylin for a dinner. Wow! these two girl really a good cook! ( recommend to those bachelor out there! ) I really enjoy the meal & the time with these two. Thanks Edna & Deylin!
I end my evening with 3 bottles of cool Carlberg with Terry, George & Jeffery at Seahorse... :)

A Morning At Brighton

I woke up so early on last Thursday morning, that I can't continue my sleep anymore. Well, it's a beautiful morning, after series of tick haze and heavy rain. Decided to snatch my DSLR, fit with 75-300mm f/4.5 ~ 5.6 telescopic lens, and take a shoot from my backyard of my so called apartment.

Since it's not to early to have breakfast, I take a short walk to the nearby stall ~ for my bowl of Thin Mee a.k.a Mee Pok & a cup of warm Tea. Seeing those student going to school reminds me of the old days when I was still "Young and Dangerous" ( Che Wah, macam movie lah pula ); wake up early, skip breakfast, etc etc....

Things are different now. People goes along with high tech & even the culture change. Not like the old days. Well, that's life...I wonder how does the young generation now a days will face the never ending challenge world out there...
May the Force be with you...hehehehe.. ( quoted from Master Jedi Obi Wan Keno bi, Star Wars )

Pre - Hari Raya With RTM

I was on morning shift on Wednesday, a cool & so called relax day. Yet, towards the end of my shift, thing going busier~ follow up with DOPS, FOM etc etc etc...get used to it already. It was 1830hrs, when I'm about to sign off, my "topinai" ( In Sabah ~ Kadazan language mean Brother, sought of) Shirley Ariffin a.k.a SA and the cool Suryati invite me for the government function at RTM Miri. With "Batik" attire? I didn't bring my Batik since I move to Miri. Hmm...the last time I wear my gorgeous red green batik somewhere in Bintulu when I was with the VH group. Reluctant to go, but no choice since SA manage to find one for me..thanks..

It's a cool night, can feel the breeze from the South China Sea. There were five of us from Miri Marriott; SA, Kak Yati, Roy, Lian and me myself. Numbers of invited guests that I knew since I'm working with VH group ~ ParkCity Everly Hotel Bintulu. It's so great to meet old friends again.

It's a simple, yet colourful function held at RTM Miri. I just wonder, why RTM Miri held such function even before the Ramadan Month..But I a good function that foster team work & relationship between the government body & the corporate sector. Not forgoten those hard life families , I think around 20 families from various village were invited as they were given some donations from RTM and another government bodies & corporate sector, to ease the burden during the Ramadan month.

What make the function so special for me, the foods & beverages were not cater as usually the government is currently practicing. Every department comes with their own stall & various of food ~ Which is very special & family oriented!
Anyway, Thanks for the invitation, Shirley!

Cloudy Sunday Evening

I was with Brian & Normy for my Sunday morning shift. It was fun to enjoy my work with these two stooges since I was attached too long with the night audit since Walter was on a long leave...hehehee...great to be back on day time operation again...

Going back "so called" on time after morning shift, I joined Brian & George for a drink at Esplanade. I wonder where was Noormy that time since she is so excited to bring us there.

Tested my 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 telescopic lense ~ most of the photo was on manual focus, so don't be surprise if some of the photo were out focus. I experiment taking photo with high ISO value, since it's quite dark by the time I arrived there. It's great to make new friend, surprise me with their DSLR Sony Alpha..huhuhuhu..
Oh ya, thanks for the ride, Brian.

My Way...

My heart sings.....

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,Ill state my case, of which Im certain.
Ive lived a life thats full.Ive traveled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this, I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times,
Im sure you knewWhen I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried Ive had my fill;
my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.For what is a man, what has he got?

If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -And did it my way

Haze...

Hmm...i wonder when would this problem ends. the best part is, now, we have to work wearing the mask! but it does help too.

Hates the smoke smell that killing me softly...che wah..macam lagu pula.. :)

Can't stand the heat too, specially during midnight.

Yesterday is the worst, even I can't rarely see some of the building in Miri city!

It's too hot that even when you're walking around the town, not come to 5 minutes, you'll find yourself sweating as if you're running for 100 meters.

Let's pray that God in His mercy, give us the rain we long for and forgive those irresponsible.
:)
